Shiloah (shy-low-ah) Baker is the founder, owner and editor of the Homemaking Cottage & Company. She began The Homemaking Cottage in December of 1998 and in June 2005 founded the Enrichment Cottage.She is also a contributing writer. She is also an Energy therapist with Lifeology. She is a Holistic Health Coach with Morning Light: a new day is born. {Details coming soon for this business}. Because she loves the topic of health and wellness after healing her body from many difficult diseases she loves to teach others how they too can be healers in their own home. She is a thirty something mom of eight, married to Ben Baker, the man she’s madly in love with.  She is the CEO of the Baker Household, teacher and mentor at home to her eight children: Cailynn (15), Chrisy (14), Benjamin (12), Makenzie 10), Madison (8), Meredith (6), Bella (4), and Braedon (1 year).  She is a Christian and is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

She and her husband Ben welcome anymore children into their family as God sees fit to give them.  She homeschools her children using the Thomas Jefferson Education method.  Of their eight children, three have disabilities:  one has Sensory Processing Disorder, a speech delay, and a processing disorder, another has autism, and one has Aspergers (High functioning autism).

She is part gypsy growing up an Army brat she was born in Panama and has lived in Germany three times and many states throughout the United States.  She currently calls Colorado home.

She enjoys being a homemaker and hopes to ignite the passion for this art/lifestyle for millions of women globally.  She enjoys being a professional mother, healer, an enterpreneur, writer, runner, crafter, foodie, seamstress, reader, and hostess. Exercise is her vice. She is currently training for a half marathon.

She is a lover of religion, life, classic books, children, red lipstick, jewelry, and beautiful things.
